Woodpecker drills plastic flowers
wind whistles and drowns out
the arraignment going on in New York.
Hummingbird hovers
waiting its turn at the sweet sugar water,
which has been annexed by Woodpecker.
Stink Bug does push ups in the sand
and the cold wind drives me back inside.

I love all of your nature observations, especially the stink bug push-ups! Your link didn’t work on the InLinkz. I am going to go back and add it.
Thanks, Leigh Anne. Sadly, I think it’s an Edublogs problem. I’ve had that happen when using InLinkz. I’ve asked both Edublogs and InLinkz about it, and I can’t remember who gave me the solution. The person trying to use the link just needs to press them the X in the upper right hand corner, and my post will be right behind it. 🙂
That is so weird! But I am glad there is an answer.
The woodpecker taking over the hummingbird’s usual spot is an interesting nature observation. Nature’s interactions can be entertaining. And the sounds of nature drowning out certain other things can be a blessing.
