Bookends, a wonderful metaphor for love. I’ve been following Taylor Mali on Instagram. Are you familiar with his metaphor dice? You should send him this word.
Margaret, thank you for reading and responding. Funny that you mentioned Taylor Mali. I had been meaning to find his name again. I had been on his website and found this sweet slam poetry mad lib form, and I couldn’t find it again. As soon as I read your comment, I knew that was him. I followed him on Instagram. I’ll have to watch and learn how those metaphor dice work. Thank you for your comment.
Ohmigoodness! That’s such a beautiful sentiment & poem!
This is what being loved is all about.
Your husband seems like a real sweetheart with a sense of humor. Was he the person who also transformed your toilet into a character with a few props? He’s lucky to have such a lovely biographer in you!
Jackie, yes, he is a funny guy. And yes, he did transform our toilet into a cigarette smoking character. I was looking for that picture on my blog, but I’m not seeing it! Thanks for remembering that!
Love as bookends of the day – with all the story of life lying between. How much you convey in so few words, Denise! And how much I love this.
