I finished painting this morning. (By the way, this morning ChatGPT wrote a poem about my painting. I was a bit rattled, and wrote about it here.)

We finished up some home improvement jobs this week and looked forward to sharing the updates and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with my brother, sister-in-law, and sister, who fortunately all live close to us.

I am participating in the March Slice of Life Challenge: A slice a day for all of March. Thank you, Two Writing Teachers!
I am still in awe of that table and benches! You have such a welcoming space!
Denise, I was wondering how your St Paddy’s day dinner would go, and it looked like it went swimmingly.
Are you going to now be deemed party central? You have the perfect venue.
I love being a visitor in your home for this special occasion. From the moment I walked in the bright door, the space was inviting. Made myself a bracelet and sat down for a mouth watering meal.
Denise, yes, your new door is absolutely gorgeous! Well done! My overall thoughts about your post today are Yum and Fun!
I’m in love with those pictures! What a welcoming space – that starts with your amazing new door!
Denise, that photo of you and your husband in front of the house is so sweet! You have done amazing things with this house, putting in a lot of TLC, time and effort into restoring it and making it such a charming home filled with warmth and family – and as you have embraced it, it has embraced you. The pictures tell the story of happy hearts. I see a lot of love here!
This is lovely! I love all the thoughtful touches
Beautiful! The outside of the house and the inside, both so warm and inviting! Glad you had a great celebration 🙂
Thanks for sharing all the photos!! I recall reading about you working on that table. Loved that I got to see the before and after of the front door, too. You asked about the cabbage dish I make on St. Patrick’s day. I blogged the recipe here – https://readandwritebysally.wordpress.com/2014/03/16/march-16-st-patrick-day-recipes/
Thank you so much, Sally. I’m definitely going to give it a try. It sounds delicious.
Beautiful photos! Light, bright, welcoming front door! You married well! 😂🍀 He made a classic/proper St. Patrick’s Day feast!
It looks like a delightful day. I love the door and your new table and benches. The jewelry making station is a great idea. Thank you for sharing the pictures.
Denise,
The door looks good, and the table looks spectacular. Gluiness is a perfect St. Pat’s day beverage.
Wonderful photos! Such a fine celebration. Your new door is so beautiful! I feel as if I visited your home. I bet you enjoyed being sous chef – always nice to have a partner who cooks; we take turns, here, Tony & I – I think we both enjoy both roles, primary and support. Thanks for sharing!
How lovely and welcoming it all looks… the table and chairs offset the green theme perfectly.!
